USCF Neuro-Oncology Gorgon Murray Caregiver Program

Leaving UCSF Medical Center to begin a new adventure with Kelley O’Brien Events was both exciting and bittersweet. After years of producing events that raised critical funds for groundbreaking programs, Kelley had formed lasting relationships with patients, families, donors, and the extraordinary UCSF community.

When a group of some of the most inspiring women we’ve ever had the privilege to work alongside reached out to help support a fundraiser for the Gordon Murray Caregiver Program, we were not only honored — we were deeply grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with UCSF and many longtime supporters.

Led by Gordon Murray’s wife, Randi Murray, alongside philanthropists Cathy and Mike Podell and Marritje and Jamie Greene, the campaign was created to establish a program dedicated to supporting families through the difficult journey of diagnosis, treatment, caregiving, and bereavement.

The inaugural fundraiser for the UCSF Neuro-Oncology Gordon Murray Caregiver Program centered around a special production of Hamilton, fresh off its highly anticipated San Francisco debut and unquestionably the hottest ticket in town. The evening began with an intimate pre-theatre dinner attended by cast members, donors, patients, physicians, and supporters, creating an inspiring atmosphere of connection, generosity, and hope before an unforgettable performance.
